Throughout history, women in Georgia have risen as protectors of freedom.
They carried the weight and consequences of wars, safeguarded and preserved their families, the country, and culture.
Today, once again, Georgia faces profound political danger as the battle wages on.
Our freedom remains contested, and once again, women in Georgia stand at the frontiers - bravely, tirelessly, and fearlessly.
People are held as political prisoners because they protest against the Pro-Russian government. But even behind the prison walls, their defiant voices do not break.
Their resolve does not break.
Their courage persists.
Dedicated to the women who guard liberty and justice with their unbending will and love for freedom.
About Artist:
Nino Bosikashvili (b. 1986) is a Georgian multidisciplinary artist based in Melbourne, Australia.
She studied at the Tbilisi State Academy of Art (2003–2009).
Her work has been exhibited in more than 30 different exhibitions (2003-2017) and recognized among the world’s top illustrators in the Australian Capsulesbook Pictoria Volume 2.
